Julia is an award winning author of children’s books. She has a Master’s Degree in elementary school counseling. Julia joined up with Child Watch while she was writing the book “SCOOP”.This book is an excellent tool to help parents, teachers, counselors, and caregivers equip children with safety skills to prevent child abduction. Written in a friendly, non-threatening manner, SCOOP takes a refreshingly empathetic approach to the topic of personal safety from a child’s point of view. The book includes safety tips from Child Watch and a note to parents from founder, Don Wood.

Julia Cook has presented SCOOP in over 600 schools across the U.S. Her powerful presentations last about an hour as she actively engages students and addresses various character and safety issues.
